MICROPILE

Micropiles are deep foundation elements with high compression and traction capacity and lower bending capacity. They are made by drilling holes in the ground with optimal adhesion to the ground and functionality. Using micropile foundations, works of great technical complexity are solved in an efficient and economical way. It is a highly versatile technique focused especially on small spaces and/or height restrictions as an option for large, deep foundations that require heavy machinery.

Micropiles are indicated to be very suitable for:

  • Newly built foundations

  • Structure underpinnings

  • Foundations of very slender elements

  • Separation containment in excavations

  • Slope stabilization, stitching and soil reinforcement

  • Foundations with improved response to vibrations

  • Definitive or provisional support of the land

Anchor: Element capable of transmitting traction forces from the surface of the ground to an interior area of the ground. It basically consists of a head, free zone and bulb or anchoring zone. It is usually used to support continuous pile and micropile screens.
